Private means private.

We store your email for verified sign-in and delivery, your first name and choice of report wording, your assessment answers and generated guides, and the purchase, consent and security records needed to run the service. Some report editions also store your saved private notes, shared writing and its version history, optional learning-check answers and results, and your choices about sharing an individual guide. Sensitive account fields, answers, report content and saved writing are encrypted in storage.

The buyer can manage purchases and see whether invitations are claimed. While sharing is active, participants can see whether the other person has claimed, started or submitted, and the preparation stage of their shared guide. They cannot see each other’s question progress or answers. Buying a package does not give access to either person's answers, identity or personal report. Your personal guide belongs to your verified account. For new signups from September 26, 2026, reading each other’s full personal guides and full metric results is included in the two-person package and explained before you agree and start. This applies only to your matched participant. Each person can change future access in personal-sharing settings. This also controls the full individual comparison and the other person's ability to download your personal guide. Your assessment answers are never included. In report editions with saved notes or learning responses, those are not shared either. Turning personal sharing off stops future access to those personal results; the separate shared guide and its featured comparisons remain available while shared access is active. Existing participants keep their previous choices unless they change them. Copies they already saved cannot be recalled.

You can enter your partner’s email and choose Send invitation. We use that address to deliver the invitation you requested, not to enroll your partner in marketing. The recipient can stop invitations and chooses whether to join using their own verified account. You can also share the private link or QR code yourself.

Your free experience and optional upgrade

New free enrollment requires a verified email account and is available to United States residents age 18 or older. We save your assessment progress, profile, guide edition and permission records in encrypted account storage so you can return on another device.

Your completed assessment selects your personal guide from our prepared library. Free online access includes its opening, strengths, thinking and enjoyment chapters and personality visuals. Motivation, pressure, connection and exact personality types require the full package. No AI service receives your data to create the free guide or visual couples comparison. You may invite one partner. They agree explicitly to link their results and can reuse an existing saved assessment. Once both assessments are complete and shared access is active, you both see the same visual couples comparison. Each personal guide stays private in the free experience.

Earlier tests saved only in a browser retain their original behavior: an encrypted draft stays in that browser for 30 days from starting. Our server processes the draft without saving its answers to an account unless you choose to save with verified email. Anonymous start and completion events do not include your name or answers. Anyone using that browser can open its draft; clearing browser data or using private browsing may remove it. Use Resume a test saved in this browser to return or remove the draft. Earlier account-saved free reports and pairs retain their existing access.

If you upgrade, completed assessments carry over with the recorded consent and link to the respective verified accounts. Only one person pays for the couple. For the new free experience, upgrading unlocks the remaining chapters of the same approved personal guide and exact personality types, with downloads added. The full couples guide is prepared using the limited AI inputs described below. Your free personal guide and visual comparison remain available while the paid guide is being prepared. Earlier free snapshots may differ from the approved personal guide supplied with the full package.

You can delete your own free assessment or end shared access in Report privacy. The other person keeps their personal guide. An existing paid assessment copy and paid guides have separate privacy controls. Account-saved free results have no automatic inactivity expiry at present; contact support for account-level deletion.

What makes the shared guide?

Claiming a pass includes an explicit choice to share personality insights with the person claiming its matching pass. Your assessment identifies a personality profile from your answers. Your personal guide is selected from a prepared library using that profile. The guide library was prepared with AI assistance and checked before use; opening your personal guide does not send your questionnaire answers to an AI service. We add your name locally when displaying your guide. For the full package, once both personal guides are ready, shared-guide generation uses both people's personality profiles and analysis of how those profiles work together, with he, she or they used according to each person's choice. It does not receive your names, questionnaire answers or personal report text. Both people receive the same shared guide automatically; there is no second approval step.

Reviews you choose to share

Leaving a review is optional. If you agree to publication, your chosen display name, rating, review and any photo you add may appear publicly after approval. Your account email and reports are not published with it. Private feedback goes only to Figure Us Out and is not published as a review. We keep reviews until you remove them or delete your participation. You can edit or remove your review from your account; edits need approval again. You must have permission to publish a photo of anyone else pictured. Copies others have already saved cannot be recalled.

Services that help deliver it

Stripe handles checkout and payment details; we do not store your card number. OpenAI receives your personality profile, selected report wording and personality reference material to prepare and check the guides. These stages also use AI generated interpretations, relationship ratings, plans and draft text. Your report wording choice lets references to each person read naturally. Names are added locally and are not sent to OpenAI. Your questionnaire questions, answers and scores are not sent to OpenAI. Depending on the provider assigned to a message, Resend or Amazon Web Services may deliver verification codes, purchase and guide notifications, review requests and optional email you requested. Amazon delivery event queues may contain email addresses, subjects, headers and delivery details for up to four days; messages that cannot be processed may remain in a protected failure queue for up to seven days. We save only the delivery and suppression details needed to operate the service, not raw event messages. Railway hosts the application and database, and Cloudflare provides private object storage and site infrastructure. Report links require sign in; email does not include your report text.

Celebrity matches and quick profiles

Quick profiles are saved in this browser tab, not to your account. When you compare, the names and selected personality types are sent to Figure Us Out to prepare that comparison; we do not save them as customer profiles or send them to an AI service. Use a first name or nickname. You can remove saved people in the match activity. Browser session recovery may retain this information until you close or clear the session.

Celebrity photos load directly from Wikimedia when available. Wikimedia receives the usual image-request information, such as your IP address and browser details. We do not send it quick-profile names, assessment answers or account information. Photo credits link to each image’s source and license.

A considerate inbox

We may ask for a review 48 hours after your first full personal guide is ready. We send one request, with no follow-up. Leaving a review or sending private feedback through the site stops a pending request. Dismissing the request on a report page does not stop email. Review emails include a way to stop them. When you start or return to a test with our reminder notice, we send up to two reminders if you leave it unfinished. You can turn test reminders off in My account or from a reminder email. We keep earlier opt-out choices. Sign-in codes, purchase updates and emails when your reports are ready are separate.

Newsletters and special offers have a separate, optional choice, off by default. If you opt in, this can include up to two follow-up emails about the optional full couples package. These upgrade follow-ups stop after either linked participant purchases, or after opt-out, deletion or withdrawal of shared access. We record the wording you agreed to and your opt-in or opt-out. You can change it in Email news and offers; marketing messages include an unsubscribe link. This choice does not change your assessment access, existing reminder choice, sign-in codes or report-ready messages.

Private AI chatbot

If you use the AI chatbot, OpenAI first moderates only your current message. For an allowed question, Google Gemini receives that message, up to 100 recent messages from this browser, and relevant text from guides you can currently read. Verified personality type labels for those profiles are also included as background. Very long conversations may include fewer recent messages. The chat can discuss general topics as well as your reports. Raw questionnaire answers, scores, private internal analysis and complete report files are not sent for chat. Figure Us Out does not save your chat transcript to your account. Recent messages are stored in your browser for up to 30 days, or until you clear the conversation. People using the same browser profile may be able to access this browser-stored data. Previously saved Insights remain available through their existing private page, but new chat replies do not save Insights. The AI chatbot is an AI interpretation tool, not therapy, crisis monitoring or an emergency service. The Gemini answer call is stateless and requests no provider storage, but this is not a promise of zero provider retention.

Your controls and retention

We intend to keep your guides available in your account for at least one year after they are ready. There is currently no automatic inactivity expiry: your active saved assessment and guides stay stored until you delete the experience. Download your PDFs when they are ready so you have your own copies; online access is not a permanent archive and may be interrupted. Access also depends on your purchase and sharing remaining active, as explained below. Saved notes, shared-writing versions, learning checks and individual-guide sharing choices remain with the experience when those features are available. If your report edition includes saved writing, you can export it from that guide. In My account, open your experience and choose Privacy and data options to end shared access or delete that experience. Ending sharing removes hosted shared-guide access for both people. Deleting your experience also removes your assessment, hosted personal report content, saved writing and learning history, and ends optional individual-guide access; the other person's personal report and private notes are not deleted. A used pass does not become reusable.

Minimal payment, consent, security and deletion records are retained for accounting, support and preventing deleted content from returning. Encrypted backups may still contain earlier data; deletion and sharing-withdrawal records are kept separately and reapplied before a backup is returned to service. Downloaded copies held by either person cannot be recalled. Contact us for account-level data requests or questions.

If you ask for a refund or support review, your private feedback is kept for no more than 90 days after the case is resolved. It is not shared with the other participant. You may separately choose to let our owner review your own personal guide to understand your feedback; this is optional, does not include the other person's or couples guide, and ends within 30 days after resolution. When a package is refunded, both people's online access ends, hosted guide content is removed, and stored guide files are queued for deletion. The optional copy of your own guide, if you allowed it, follows the 30-day limit.

Printed book requests

If you request a printed copy, we keep your recipient name, delivery address and invoice email encrypted and make them available through a protected owner page. Our email notification contains a request reference and a link to that page. After payment, we provide the book PDF and delivery details to the printer to fulfill your order. The PDF contains both personal reports, the couples guidebook and a blank workbook. It does not include saved workbook answers or private notes. Stripe handles the invoice and payment under its own privacy notice.

You can correct or cancel a request before an invoice is recorded. After that, contact [email protected] for help. Deleting either participant’s account removes the request’s stored delivery details and book information from our website. It cannot recall a file already sent to a printer or remove a separate invoice or legally required payment record.

Affiliate accounts

New affiliate registrations and referral dashboards are hosted by Rewardful. It processes the account, referral and commission information needed to run the program under its privacy notice. Affiliates do not receive your personality reports or assessment answers.

Free invitations

We generate individual invitation codes for complimentary couples packages. If you request one on the affiliate page, we use your name and email to send the code and keep a keyed email identifier to prevent duplicate invitations. Requesting an invitation does not enroll you in affiliate marketing emails. Each code can be claimed once within 30 days. We record whether it was claimed and which account claimed it. If you pass your code to someone else, that person’s package belongs to their account.

Invitation codes and recipient details are stored encrypted. We remove their stored name, email and readable code after 90 days, except briefly while delivering a newly requested status email. The minimal issuance and redemption record remains to prevent reuse. Deleting an account removes invitation details addressed to it and disconnects its invitation claim record without making the used code available again.

Affiliate experience requests

If you request a free affiliate experience or contact us about the program, we use your name, email, message and any optional phone number or profile links you provide to review your request and reply to you. Applications are stored encrypted and are available to the owner through a protected application inbox. An email notification is sent to the owner through our email provider. Applications and messages are not published as reviews or sent to the guide-writing AI.

We remove application details 90 days after you apply unless the application is approved. Approved application details stay until removed as part of managing the affiliate relationship. You can contact us to request removal. Email copies and backups follow their separate retention processes; removing a website application does not recall an email already delivered.

Cookies and site measurement

We use essential sign-in and security cookies. We also count one first-party visit per browser per day so we can understand whether the service is working and where people stop in the experience. When provided by our site infrastructure, we keep only a coarse city, state or region and country with the visit or claimed experience; we do not retain the raw network address for this dashboard. With your permission, Rewardful uses referral cookies for up to 60 days to credit the affiliate who introduced you. Your choice is remembered in this browser for 180 days and can be changed using Referral cookies in the footer. Rewardful receives referral and browser information and, for an attributed purchase, Stripe customer and payment information to calculate commissions. Our integration does not send assessment answers, personality profiles, report content or chat messages to Rewardful. You can still get the same discount without referral cookies: enter the affiliate’s code at checkout. Declining does not affect your access. Tracking can be limited by browser settings, blocked cookies or switching devices. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change these essential functions. If you follow a link to another service, including Stripe checkout, that service handles information under its own privacy notice.

Changes to this notice

We post updates to this notice here and change the date above. If we materially change how we use or share existing personal information, we will explain the change before it takes effect and request a new choice where required.
